Dutch Contribute to NATO Mission in Libya

On March 22nd, the Dutch Government informed Parliament of its intention to contribute to the execution of UN Security Council Resolution 1973.

That contribution will consist of 6 F16s, 1 tanker aircraft (KDC 10) and a minehunting vessel. It is meant to enforce the weapons embargo against Libya led by NATO. It may also be used when there is a subsequent NATO decision on the implementation of a No Fly Zone.
